The short version
We collect your email address so we can send you what you bought. We count page views so we know which sets people look at. That is essentially it. There are no advertising trackers on this site, no third-party analytics, and no cookie banner — because there is nothing to consent to.
Who is responsible
Marcelo Calderon, trading as MicBricks, at 5222 Perrier St, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, is the data controller. Contact: marceloc2023@gmail.com.
What we collect when you buy
- Your email address — to send your receipt and download link, and so you can find your order later.
- Your order — which set, the price paid, and when.
- Your country — worked out from your connection, used to apply the right sales tax and to enforce the regions we cannot sell to.
We rely on the contract between us as the legal basis for this — we cannot deliver a file we have no address for.
What we never see
Your card details.Payment happens on Stripe’s own hosted checkout page. Card numbers are never sent to this site and are never stored on our servers. We receive only the outcome: paid or not, and the country the card was issued in.
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or date of birth, because a digital download does not need them.
Page views
We count visits to each page ourselves, in aggregate — a running total per page per country per day. No cookie is set, no unique identifier is assigned, and individual visitors are not distinguishable from one another. We cannot tell that the same person came back, and we do not try.
Our legitimate interest is knowing which designs people are actually interested in.
Cookies
Two, both strictly necessary, neither used for tracking:
- an admin session cookie, set only when the shop owner signs in to manage the site;
- an edit-mode preference, again only for the signed-in owner.
As a customer you are not given a cookie at all. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout page, under its own policy.
Who else touches your data
- Stripe — takes the payment and handles your card details.
- Resend — sends your receipt and download email.
- Vercel and Neon — host the site and the database.
Each processes data on our instructions, under its own agreement. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or hand it to anyone else, and we never will.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as US tax law requires us to keep them — generally three years, and up to seven in some cases — because they are our accounting records. Aggregated page-view counts contain nothing personal and are kept indefinitely. Download links expire well before either.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. Email marceloc2023@gmail.com and we will reply within a month.
One honest limit: we cannot delete an order record we are legally required to retain for tax purposes until that period has passed. We can delete everything else.
If you are in the UK or EU and think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This shop is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If a child has bought something, email us and we will refund it and delete the record.
